This section provides an overview of the basic fundamentals of Devastation Evoker, and is organized into three parts.
The first part covers Core Spells and Abilities, and explains the basics of each of the spec’s main filler and spender spells, as well as active talents, and the new Empower spell system unique to the Dracthyr Evoker in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.
The second part features key Talent and Spell Interactions, and includes more nuanced and detailed information around specific talent combinations and how they interact, including spec-defining talents such as Dragonrage, Devastation Evoker’s major two-minute damaging cooldown.
The third part consists of Advanced Mechanics, Tips, and Tricks, and covers more detailed discussion around more specific, advanced mechanics of Devastation Evoker, such as the Pandemic mechanic of DoT extension, and how it applies to Devastation’s main single-target spender, Disintegrate. This section also includes a collection of helpful miscellaneous tips and tricks, highlighting lesser known aspects of Devastation’s toolkit.
